Runners v. Civilians

Runner: i am free earlier, if you are too!
Dinner date: yeah definitely! what time?
Runner: i'm out at 5:30!
Dinner Date: how about 6:30 or 7?
Runner: both sound great! text when you have a better idea. i'm just going to be at home, icing.
Dinner Date: ok! yum. i'll have a better idea around 5, will text you then.
Runner: no babe, icing my booty bc i hurt something. not a cake!

I knew something was up

When my I found myself shivering in shorts and a thin top layer while waiting on the Houston ramp for my running buddy. The thing is, Em and I are both “let’s do this with honor” follow through-ers. So I ran home, checked my phone and well, it was totally my fault. I’m sorry that I’m a peanuthead who doesn’t read texts completely. But at least my faith in us as quintessential anti-flakes has been restored!
